Blue and the Budgies

3:43pm: Hello!

I am still here, believe it or not. I still live in Virginia and my Mommy is getting married to that guy who teases me all the time.

We have two new baby budgies hanging around and annoying me. They hatched in May.

I had a french fry the other night and it had been so long since I had this delicacy that I didn't know what to do with myself.

I'm going to hang out with my Mom now.

9:44pm: Tomorrow is my hatchday and I will be THREE!

Mom is planning some surprises. Unfortunately I got a bath tonight and lately I do not like those. Hopefully this is not the way tomorrow's surprises will go. My head is also molting like crazy and I can't get enough scratches.

5:26pm: Blue here! I know I don't update much and that's because my room is on a different floor now so I don't get much access to the computer.

I love Virginia Beach. I have a huge dining room to fly around in. I also annoy Mom by trying to make nests behind the microwave and behind all the stuff on top of the fridge. I've become a really feisty guy who isn't always friendly anymore.

Malibu and Matilda send their best wishes.

11:58am: Mom got us a new friend. She's a female cockatiel and she only has one leg. She's not as tame as Malibu and I but she likes to eat the same things we do. Maybe I can be friends with her when she's out of her own cage and living in mine.

2:46pm: Guess what? I eat PELLETS now! Mom started hand feeding them to me and Malibu and I decided they're not too bad after all. I still love my seed the best though.

Mom told me we're moving to Virginia Beach in September. It's not so bad there. I think within a few weeks, I can have complete control over the house.

3:32pm: CAT!
Mom was WAY too trusting last night. She took me to Kyle's to hang out and they happen to be babysitting a cat that is a friend of Gramma's. Mom let me have an entire mac & cheese noodle and then I was calmly sitting on her shoulder. Suddenly I saw the cat and the cat saw me. I'm flying everywhere, landing for a second to catch my breath and then taking off again while the cat jumped on chairs and couches, trying to get at me. I finally crashed into the wall and behind a couch and Mom was screaming at the cat and she grabbed me. I think we were about a foot apart at the closest. I was making noises even I didn't know I could make, I was so scared. Mom held me up against her chest and I was breathing so fast I thought I was gonna die. Even Kyle, who had his wisdom teeth removed the day before was screaming at Mom. I was moody the rest of the evening when I went back home and wanted nothing but my mirror.

That was not smart Mom.

8:30pm: Alas! I have neglected my journal again.

Mom cleaned our cage yesterday and gave us green pepper seeds today so I've been quite occupied. Since Christmas is over, I've resumed chewing apart Christmas cards as well.

11:18am: Malibu is in Virginia again. I like it because I get Mom all to myself. I don't like it because it's too quiet so I have to do all the singing and screeching that Malibu would be doing normally.

Mom read her BirdTalk magazine to try to get information on getting me to stop doing my beeping and screeching and one thing said to open the curtains or blinds so I can watch what is going on outside. I don't really want to stop being a noisy bird. I like it. But when Mom opened the window, I hopped onto my perch and sat there quietly and looked outside.

Mom was crying last night because her fish at work died. I only met him twice and kinda wasn't too fond of hanging out near him but he seemed quiet and pretty.

That is all.

5:15pm: Gosh. Why is it getting so dark so early? I don't like this much.

I want head scritches. Where's Mom?

12:03pm: Hello! I'm in Virginia Beach right now and I was reunited with my friend Malibu on Thursday night. He was very happy to see me. So happy in fact, he wouldn't stop singing in my face. I had to put him in his place.

Mom and I are heading home in a bit and Jeremy and his doggie Missy are coming too. It will be nice to have someone around to hang out with for a week when Mom is at work.

I'm sitting on Mom's shoulder right now and dictating to her what to type. And you thought I was just a dumb bird. HAHA!

7:24pm: Dammit, I just love broccoli. And I love it all over my face.

I went down to VA Beach again this past weekend. I think I'm starting to get used to Mom's boyfriend's dog. Mom just pets me a lot and gives me a lot of attention when the dog is around and tells me it's OK and just hearing her voice makes me feel better.

I might get a scrambled egg tonight. That's awesome. Grandma got us different flavored millet too but I don't like it as much as the regular kind.

4:11pm: It's been a long time since I checked in with you friends!

After Mom harshly chopped off my wings three weeks ago, I'm back to flying. Surprisingly, Malibu can fly fairly well now but is just a bit messy with it.

Mom has some guy coming over this weekend. I'm not so sure about this.

I will be spending some time with the budgies tonight while their cage is being cleaned. Mom might have tomato soup tonight and I just love picking the rice out of it.

5:16pm: Nyah nyah.
I flew outside today. Then I realized how much I love Mom and I just couldn't bear to take off.

Mom took us to her Mom & Dad's house for a bit of 4th of July fun. Grampa was cooking out on the grill and decided it would be fun to tease us and said, "Hey birdies! Wanna come outside? Let's go outside!" He was only kidding but I wasn't having any of that. When he decided to open the door to check on the burgers, I flew out with him. I landed on top of a tall wooden aviary that Kyle is building. Grampa kept screaming "Oh shit oh shit oh shit" and I saw Mom come running downstairs. She was calling my name over and over and when I saw her, I wanted kissies and scritches so I decided to fly back to Grampa. I landed on him and he walked inside with me on his shoulder. All of this took about 30 seconds and I thought it was rather funny that I gave everyone a good scare.

Mom was so scared she was almost crying. I gave her a kiss and she let me have some raw broccoli and a corn cob from the 4th of July feast.

3:50pm: Hello everyone!

I know I've been bad and haven't been writing much lately but I wanted you all to know that I am having a great summer. My wings have grown back in rather quickly and I'm back to my old self, whether I'm being an acrobat or flying after Mom in the apartment. Mom is leaving for Aruba this Saturday and Malibu and I will be staying at the Romano's for the week. I am not the same boy I was last year though. I really only want my Mom. If I'm in a halfway decent mood, I will be nice to females but I don't really like males. I mean, I live with Malibu. Of course all I want when I get out is to hang out with a nice chick.

With the weather being so nice and all, I've discovered that taking a bath in one's water dish is unbelievably fun. Mom always laughs when she comes home and my entire belly is wet.

Malibu and I have also discovered new foods that we enjoy. Mom now not only gives us scrambled egg but hard boiled egg as well. It's such a nice treat along with some cold raw broccoli. Every once in awhile, we get some chinese white rice that always tastes good but sticks all over my beak. The other day Mom let us have some veggies that were inside her eggroll. Awesome.

Tonight Mom is going out. Tomorrow Mom is going to a concert. Sunday Mom is going to a BBQ. Monday is Mom's birthday.

Will I ever get to hang out with her? Sigh.

I suppose having all morning tomorrow will be nice. Maybe we'll get scrambled eggs!

12:58pm: Today its been exactly ONE YEAR since I came home to live with my Mommy. Wow how time flies.

I fly too.

Hhahaha I'm a funny guy.
